I’m an instrument for re-branding Nigeria — Ultimate Commander

By Tony Ubani
WITHOUT flexing his  muscles, he looks as harmless as a lamb. His fine face could easily give him out as one of the pin-up guys or better still, one of the Nollywood guys. But beneath these lies an incredible power that has seen him torture men bigger and taller in the rings.

Osita Offor is Nigeria’s most powerful man who has taken over from those illustrious strong men before him. Men of steel. Late Power Mike, Ben Lion Heart, Power Uti etc.

These men made Nigeria’s flag flutter in the world. And the new face of the African Heavyweight Champion, Osita Offor popularly known as Ultimate Commander said that he is the best instrument to re-brand Nigeria. “When they talk about re-branding the image of Nigeria, I think that I stand out as an instrument for that. Sports remain the best place to use in turning around the image of the country”, the soft-spoken but tough-tackling matsman said.

The Ultimate Commander would be showing off his strength before his people on August 8 when he battles Canadian Joe Legend at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba. Abia State Governor, T.A. Orji has already thrown his financial weight behind the Abia-born Wrestler. “This is one championship that I want to win before my people.

I am moved by the love, moral and financial support by the Governor. I really want to show the World that truly Abia State is ‘God’s Own State’, Ultimate Commander said.

Already, the Governor has picked his bills to sharpen his skills with the best wrestlers in America before coming back to dish out his stuff and win the ultimate crown on August 23.

Mba Okereke and Jasper Uche represented Governor Orji when the Ultimate Commander was unveiled to the Press ahead of the historic fight.

“Our Governor is an achiever and once he sees another achiever, he identifies with the person easily. We know that the Ultimate Commander will make us proud”, they echoed at the O’Jez Restaurant, venue of the World Press Conference.
