Ghana took a giant stride towards their second successive World Cup finals with an impressive win in Sudan.
The Black Stars beat their hosts 2-0 and now top Group D with a perfect nine points from three games.
Matthew Amoah had a great season with NAC Breda in the Netherlands and he capped it with two goals for his country on Saturday.
His first came after just five minutes, his second was early in the second_half.
The two goals gave the Black Stars total control of the match.Ghana were missing several key players _ including captain Stephen Appiah and defender John Paintsil.The squad camped in Kenya in the week before the match to try and acclimatise to the conditions they would find in Sudan.
Sudan now look likely to concentrate on qualifying for the Nations Cup.The other game in this group, between Mali and Benin, takes place on Sunday.
