IT IS A PITY TO THE NIGER DELTA PEOPLE TO BLOW UP THE SHELL FACILITY, I THINK THAT MORE DIPLOMATIC AND SYSTEMATIC APPROACH SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEPLORES. WELL THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD WORK WITH THE STATE GOVERNMENT TO FORESTALL FUTURE REOCCURANCE.
THE SPDC SHOULD BE MORE COMMITTED TO THEIR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY BY PROVIDING SKILL ACQUISITION CENTER, EMPLOYMENT, SCHOOLS, ROADS ETC.

IF THE ABOVE STRATEGIES DOESN’T WORK THE NEXT LINE OF ACTION IS TO…..I WILL TELL YOU WHEN THE TIME COME

It is unfortunate that the myopic ruling calls have allowed issues to the degenerate to the level that a nation will send its military against a section of the the civilian populace. This is an indication of lack of visionary leadership and shows the extent to which the nation has sunk.

The major question that all right thinking people should be asking is will the amnesty address the issue that gave rise to militancy in the first place. Until such fundamental issues are addressed ,it does not require a star gazer to tell that the next phase of the struggle by the next generation of militants will be more catastrophic. AMNESTY OF DECEIT. The first step towards a clean start is for the Fed. Govt. to, without delay,ask the Chief of Defence Staff along with the JTF commandant and its spoke man,Col. Rabbe,to resign,for declaring a false WAR on a section of Nigeria,that led to genocide. Secondly tender an apology to Niger Deltans for their lost. Thirdly set up a probe of the genocide with a view to rehabilitating and compensating the rurals of Gbaramatu and environ villagies and finally,ask the EFCC to without delay investigate the finances of the Joint Task Force and its previous Commandants. You will then know why the Nigeria Army is against peace in the region. Period.

Chief Clark should stop making useless press statements. He should focus on finding and helping refugees in Gbaranmatoru Kingdom area. How can Chief Clark accept Yara Adua deceptive amnesty program. My brothers we have seen the reality of the whole issue. how can you offer someone you claim to be a criminal amnesty. of what use will that be to the Nigerian state. Now we know the truth.It is a tradition now in Nigeria to accept criminality since those who should protect the law are criminals themselves. The police is constantly stealing,we have records of former police inspectors, the military men sent to the Niger Delta saw an opportunity to enrich themselves, Govt officials are in the middle of it. So why wont they grant amnesty so they can continue looting oil wealth. My prayer is that God will touch the leaders to consider the lives of civilian Niger Deltans. Where is the Military that claimed control of the region. Please government should responsibility of developing the place now that the youths are ready to lay down their arms. Why wont chiefs and leaders cry when government left the youths and are killing innocent civilians.

The Niger-Delta question is only but an eloquent testimony to the facts that ; there’s always a limit to falsehood and marginalisation of any people at any time and in any form, can only be a delibrate cultivation of chaos in a no distant future.

Those who have taken up arms as their own perceived effective solution to the problem of the region have their justification in the fact if those chose the civil and non-violent approach towards the same problem were not given the appropraiate attention by the government. Britain adopted indirect rule as the best option to manage the Nigerian people. This option was adopted because the colonizers acknowledged that they meet on ground, socio-political systems that provided for peace and co-ordinate harmony of the people.

Government in its response to the Niger-Delta problem has continued to adopt approaches that encourage the emergence benefit captors and jobbers who use the sorry situation of the Niger-Delta as a means of primitive accumulation. When a government delibrately refuse to listen to the views of the right people, it will definitely see itself making deals with street boys and the deal will always end in the way of two criminals dipping their hands in each other’s pocket.

My Brother what did the government achieve by bombing Gbaramatu Kingdom? did it stop the Bombing of Oil Facilities? Government can only deal with innocent civilians that is the problem, this oil war is beyound the FG. No amount on intemidation will stop Militants from blowing up pipe lines. Even if the FG start arial bombadment of all the communities in the Niger Delta, it will not stop the bombing of oil facilities for which the FG suffers more losses. You are talking as if you don’t know this oil war is not a conventional war, it is a gorilla war fare on oil facilities, this pipe lines cris crox the every part of the Niger Delta. If the FG likes let them send the whole battalions of NIgerian Soldiers there, the oil sabotage will continue.

I am even of the opion that they should ground every oil exploiration, so that the parasite North will be serious with their agriculture and stop waiting for oil allocations to share at the detriment of the environment of the Niger Delta areas. I can bet anyone that assuming the so called oil is the north, Nigeria would have been seperated without any blood shed.

You said MEND is continuing the war in order to continue their illicit oil business, are they better oil bunkerers than IBB, Abdulsalam Abubakar, Abacha and other Northern Oil Thieves including Yar ‘Adua? Please open you eyes, the facts are on the ground about this northern thieves that owns Oil vessels all over ND doing illigal bunkering.

MEND the FG is jittry that you are crippling their soruce of money to steal, that is way they are granting amnesty to you guys when you did not ask for it. Th e common man in Niger Delta that has suffered years of effects of oil spillage, gas flaring etc is suppose to be granting the FG and all the thieving Politicians Amnesty in lieu of development, not the other way round

My prayer is that, let it be that this Amnesty movement really comes from God.If those who has actually witness live what the people of Niger Delta had passed through this past years will cry for us.Personally, I saw where an innocent pregnant woman was killed by flying bullet as a result of under development of the Niger Delta.How many will count but the past leaders in Niger Delta and the Nation at larger who refused to develop this region rather taken our money into their foreign account are sitting with their wives and Children enjoying the wealth own by the people.I know God will not let them go free.
I appeal to my brothers who had been aggrieved to let all the fight for now go and let try and see what God has for us for now.

It is unfortunate that despite all the entreaties of the government, the MEND is still blowing up pipe. One good turn deserves another.
Blowing pipes is neither valour, heroism nor gallantry. Any body can sabotage. This is what thieves do every day when they bring down electricity towers to scavenge the spare parts and they do not even use weapons.
From all indications, MEND is against the amnesty because it will block their illicit bunkering. Even if the so-called development starts in Niger Delta, Mend will sabotage every effort.
The leaders and chiefs are not talking now. After the 60 days when government starts dealing with them then they will come out and start crying wolf. A stitch in time saves nine.

All the PDP criminals are now feeling the pinch of the ongoing Piper Alpha embark upon by mend and it affilates. After watching the chilling cold blooded murder of those two Ijaw brothers on a mere allegation that they were informants for the millitants, I have lost all respect for the Nigeria govt and the entire nation. Where are the so called human right activist and all the rest of them and the most painful thing was the way the public accepted the whole issue. I weep for the country as a nation and the people as a race. It seems we dont have what it take to say the truth, everybody is after money and scared for their lives.
I believe if the people actually need a change, there will be changes. Let be honest here, if there was peace in the Niger Delta the corrupt government and nigeria society would not have careless about what is happening in the Niger delta. The truth is this is just a prelude to what is to come in the Niger delta. The government have to act fast by been sincere in the developement of ND before a more organise and principled milliant make fool of the nigerian useless army.

Chief Clark should focus on helping the refugees in his LGA. I doubt if he knows how many people died in Gbaranmatoru Kingdom and other Ijaw villages during JYF operations. Clark should talk about the welfare of the refugees, mostly women and children and those hiding in the bush out of fear. Chief Clark or some Ijaw leaders including IYC leaders are corrupt and don’t seem to understand MEND strategy. Clark was not elected to liberate ND and he is missing the point. Chief Clark should negotiate for the media or journalist to visit all Ijaw communities affected by JTF operations. This amnesty is a fluke. The cultist PDP/Chief Anenih hired to rig elections in ND may surrender their guns. Pls, Chief Clark, allow the freedom fighters to negotiate with Abuja/Yara Adua clique. MEND and other real freedom fighters will never disarm until we have an Int’l conference on ND. Why is the FG scared of such open solution? We don’t trust Clark/FG either.

Those who know Chief Edwin Clarke should call him to order immediately. He should be told that the Niger Delta struggle is not about a stop-gap measure as the root of the struggle resides in the practicing of true federalism.
Vanguard, please find out from NNPC about how many Barrels per day that Nigeria is still lifting. The last time we heard 1.3bpd and this was before the recent job by our victorious Mend. Or is oil and gas now (0)level prdctn? Please, give us feedback..

Let the boys continue the Piper Alpha. It is better to die for something than for nothing. The Nigerian government is a ruse, and wants to lure the boys out of their creeks for more cold-blood execution. The fact that the unprofessional JFT looters and rapists are still rampaging, despite the so-called amnesty pronouncements, shows the disconnect or insincerity in the government.

They make me laugh when they dangle 50 billion, trying to impress only fools. If that kind of money is periodically used to develop Niger- Delta , will they be fighting? The boys are not asking for amnesty because they are not offenders or rebels. They do not need rehabilitation because they are not mental people. I’m surprised Edwin Clark seems not to understand what is in the fake amnesty package. They should rehabilitate the presidency, national assembly , the military,and Iwu’s INEC. Period.
