There has always been this suspicion that NAFDAC just like the EFCC has been handed over to undertakers to bury.
It seems the gains of the past few years would be thrown away at the click of a button. Shame on you Dr Paul Orhiiiii.

Ladies and Gentlemen, our problems always stems from corruption and its excesses. In the books there must be restrictions however those guarding imports will overlook their mothers cardiva and collect some Nigeria. Do not blame investors we are our own demise.

NAFDAC should inspect imported foods and goods to ensure they meet standards. We need imported items because Nigerian government has failed in providing Nigerian industries with electricity. How can any one produce any product with generator and stay in business? Until our government is able to provide enough electricity, we should continue to import, otherwise we will starve ourselves out of ingnorance.

Dear Editor, The problem here is the Nigerian metality. we tend to appreciate foreign product than ours and owners of supermarkets are aware of that; they make more profit from it. if we want to stop this we should change our metality but how possible is it?

The Editor,

It is highly pathetic that NAFDAC could allow some supermarket to be importing into Nigeria indescriminately product that could be produced in Nigeria and hence most of this supermarket may not stock or stock limited quantity of quality made in Nigeria products.

Many Nigerians have lost their jobs home and abroad while the few at home that are currently being employed are gradually being stifle out of their jobs by some unfair supermarket owner who have chosen not to give Nigeria or Nigerians a chance and those abroad could no longer support their family at home because they are out of job abroad.

Like it is being done in most countries made in Nigeria product should be given priority positions on their shelves. The supermarket owners must be advised on the need to stock Quality Made in Nigeria products and given prominent position on their shelves so that they can compete favourably with the foreign products.

I am not against stocking foreign products in supermarket in Nigeria but the supermarket owners should be made to export similar and reasonable quantity of the product they have chosen to import. I am not stating that they should be compelled but they (supermarket owners) must be advised, encouraged and made to see the merit of exporting made in Nigeria Products. Hence they may need to offset part of payment with the value of the export of made in Nigeria product made and little balance will be left to be offset using Nigeria hard earned foreign exchange.

Please note i am not against free trade and i am not for restrictions on trade but i support and i encourage other Nigerian and the writer of the original article to embrace same because it will challenge our manufacturers to produce high quality product that could be sold any where in the world.

I will strongly encourage every Nigerians to embrace made in Nigeria product where ever they are in world and encourage others to try and repurchase made in Nigeria product. The upper class people in the country should be seen patronising made in Nigeria product, not just for advert only but actually consuming the products and encourage their families, friends, colleagues and staffs to buy made in Nigeria that is the only way our factories will grow and compete with foriegn factories and earn Nigeria more foreign exchange, reduce our dependency on oil and eventually increase jobs in the country

Nigeria is our country we need to work together for its survival. Lets embarce our products with all our heart as citizens of other country propagate, embrace and consume their local products

NIGERIA GOOD PEOPLE, GREAT NATION
