Rangers Interna tional FC Technical  Adviser Christian Chukwu believes the Super Eagles chance of qualifying for 2010 World Cup would have been easier if the players had defeated the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia at the Rades stadium in Tunisia  last weekend.
According to him, winning would have assisted in tracking the Tunisians down in the Group as well as easing up tension when they (Super Eagles)lock horns with the North Africa in their reversed match slated for September 6 in Abuja.
In a telephone chat with Saturday Vanguard, the former Green Eagles captain stated that in as much as the Super Eagles drew with the Carthage Eagles of Tunisian that there is every need for gravity and commitment as this would determine our prospects of picking the World Cup ticket billed in South Africa next year.
“My reaction is like any other reaction, the Super Eagles went there and drew, honestly speaking we would have gotten more than a draw, so that we can be more comfortable on our stand, in all we hope for the best,†he began.
“With a win we would have put the Tunisians on a high dump and play our other matches with ease but with this there is every need for us to win all our matches only this can relieve us and our hope to be in the World Cup, especially as it would be hosted for the first in Africa,â€the former Harambee stars of Kenya tactician declared.
He however, urged the team to do every thing possible to track the Tunisians down in the September match as the World Cup ticket is now in their hand, adding that any slip would deny Nigeria flag for hoisting come next year in South Africa.
