This is a “Humiliating” defeat for Yaradua and his rag tag northern governemt.It means that he can no longer sue any news paper in the country until he lives office.Now the news papers will go after him like never before.This has dealt him a major blow to remind him taht he is not a dictator,this is democracy and there is freedom of expression.Congratulations to Leadership news papers for disgracing Yaradua,and showing other world leaders he is a complete joke.

It is disheartening that the President is wasting time on an issue like this. Immunity aside, if the newspaper has published that he was sick, he should know that it is the simple fact. His many trips abroad for medical check ups is no news. He would have ended up embarrassing himself if the court had even allowed the case to be heard. He should be grateful for the immunity clause as many thieves in the so called leadership of our country.

Assuming the president and his men are ignorant of the law, what about the stupid magistrate. He or she ought to know. i’m appaled at the quality of people appointed into offices in Nigeria. This magistrate ia obviously a political appointee.
Anyway if a sitting president can sue, then George Bush would have thousands of court cases all over the world. no president in History has been caricatured like Bush. He even had a shoe thrown at him.

Haa! haaaa!!!!! Oga Yaraslow doesn`t want peope to publish negative reports about him! He has the “stupid” constitution on his side, protecting him from prosecution, even if it is proven to goats and fowls that he is corrupt. He wants the same constitution to even stop people from publishing anything negative (whether true or false) about him. Haba, oga President, even Almighty God does not award himself al these “rights and priviledges”.
Somebody should tell him that though we may not have the right to prosecute him for crimes while he is still in office, but we have the right to report any crimes while waiting for the day he leaves that office. Then we can take him on.
Left for me, I would say to hell with this “immunity while in office”. Let any bastard who is caught stealing our common wealth be hanged straight away. Then sanity will return to this country.
Oga Yaraslow, leave journalists (online or otherwise) alone and do your work. Nobody will abuse you if you are doing what a competent President should be doing. If anybody does that, the masses and your visible work will defend you. Why are journalists not “abusing” Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State. His works speak for him. Any attempt to discredit/malign him will be like an ant attempting to bite an elephant.
Do your job as the President, and if you are, for one reason or the other, incapable of doing it, please resign now for the sake of the good of Nigeria. We are dying – SLOOOOOOWLY.

It is sad to note the President of a country like Nigeria fails to surround himself with professional people who can offer him independent advice regardless of political affiliation. He is surrounded by fools and idiots; and that will remain so for a long time. The case in question should not have gone to court in the first place. Has the President failed to learn “silence is golden”? Once you are at the helm of affairs of a nation, you are a public property. The nation maintains you and your family. It is a high price you agreed to pay when you contested for the election.
